Week 10

Good morning, everyone. Hope you had a good week since last we met.

Today you will class time to finish any piece you may have yet to do. The film essay on Moonlight (2016) is due.   I have a handout on writing about films that I will distribute, but a few words here.  As your essays are to be just 350 words or so, focus on a key scene, moment,  or several that you find worthy (your favorites for whatever reasons) and describe their impact and significance in terms of the story, its themes, the character, your personal history, etcetera.  Our individual responses to art will be different from the next person's and that personal view/opinion is crucial to any essay.  At the start, include the film title, release date, and director's name just as you see them above.

Aalways, I will return graded work and review some of the homework assigned and grammar work.

You should have got an email, too, about the IDEA survey. I'll double-check, but I think we can do it next week before you are to take the final in class.
